Hmmm… 200,000 years in the future, and reality TV is still going strong? Humans still haven’t evolved into something more advanced? And still wear 20th century clothing? And fight Daleks with bullets? Where are the laser guns? You know, just set it in 2200 or something. That would be a believable yet distant time period. [...]

This was a pointless episode. I can sum it up in two sentences: anti-death penalty rant and Rose/Mickey soap opera. I wish RTD would stop using Doctor Who as his personal platform to throw his left-wing politics at the audience. Having a character as a mouthpiece for the anti-death penalty message would be fine,

Well, this one got me misty-eyed at the end, I have to admit. Despite the plot-holes and the “I can see it coming a mile away” ending, it still worked for me. Let’s get some of the unanswered questions out of the way first. Why is the car that killed Pete caught in a loop, [...]

Finally! A Russell T. Davies episode that I really enjoyed! Ok, so I liked “Rose”, and “The End of the World” was good. “Aliens of London” and “World War 3″ just made me want to cringe at times. Taken as a whole, Mr. Davies episodes have been the weaker ones of this run of Doctor [...]

This pair of episodes is utterly appalling. How they ever got made, let alone past the scripting stage is beyond me. There’s humor in flatulence if you’re five years old, but most of us manage to grow up and stop laughing at bodily functions.

I’ve seen this episode multiple times now. It grows on me with repeat viewings. “The End of the World” is a fabulous looking episode of the type we could only have imagined in Doctor Who prior to CGI. Just look back at “The Ark in Space” for an example of a space station orbiting the [...]

Be careful what you wish for. After years of wanting new Doctor Who stories on television, we fans finally got our wish in 2005 with a new series that starred Christopher Eccleston as the ninth regeneration of the Doctor. I remember feeling quite excited that the show was coming back with modern sensibilities and updated [...]

This is the story I wanted to see ever since I read about it, and the only one I couldn’t resist spoilers on. I went and read reviews by fellow fans months ago, as well as watching the Doctor Who Confidential episode covering this story over my dial-up internet connection (a chore, to be sure). [...]
